The first week in a new city is usually a set of keys, a Mietvertrag, and a Besichtigung. These are the German sentences for that.

Viewing a flat, asking what is included, agreeing a date.

  • Ist es noch frei? Is it available?
  • Sind die Nebenkosten inklusive? Are the bills included?
  • Wann könnte ich einziehen? When could I move in?
  • Wie hoch ist die Kaution? How much is the deposit?
  • Kann ich die Wohnung heute Nachmittag sehen? Can I see the flat this afternoon?
  • Ist der Vertrag für ein Jahr? Is the contract for a year?
  • Es gibt Feuchtigkeit im Bad. There is damp in the bathroom.
  • Ist die Wohnung möbliert? Is the flat furnished?
