Phrases for a move

Housing

The first week in a new city is usually a set of keys, a contract, and a stranger showing you a room. These are the sentences for that — not colours, not a kitchen vocabulary drill.

Viewing a flat, asking what is included, agreeing a date.

  • ¿Está disponible? Is it available?
  • ¿Los gastos están incluidos? Are the bills included?
  • ¿Cuándo podría entrar? When could I move in?
  • ¿Cuánto es la fianza? How much is the deposit?
  • ¿Puedo ver el piso esta tarde? Can I see the flat this afternoon?
  • ¿El contrato es de un año? Is the contract for a year?
  • Hay humedad en el baño. There is damp in the bathroom.
  • ¿El piso está amueblado? Is the flat furnished?

The Spanish above is the shape of a first unit. Change the language and the same situation comes back in that language.
