Questions
France or Quebec — does it matter?
Yes, and you should say which. A goal in Lyon and a goal in Quebec produce different courses. The default path is metropolitan French; the tutor can explain Quebecois forms if that is who you will speak to.
Do I need to already know gender and endings?
No. Beginner phrases stay short. When an ending matters, ask in the exercise — that is what the tutor is for, rather than a red cross.
Will this help me not get answered in English in Paris?
That is a common goal and a good one to type in. The course will emphasise opening a conversation clearly enough that people stay in French.
Can I skip the goal and just learn French?
Yes. There are 32 hand-written topics. The generator is for when you have a date and a reason.
