Learn Spanish
Learn Spanish built for you
Lumi Language is Spanish for a deadline, not a streak. Tell Lumi you are moving to Madrid, walking the Camino, or sitting down with a Mexican partner's family, and the first unit is the phrases you will actually say that week — viewing a flat, ordering at a table, not colours and farm animals.
Not “Spanish, beginner” — “moving to Madrid in March, I need to view flats and talk to my neighbours”.
Flat-viewing vocabulary before colours and farm animals.
First-month Spanish phrases
- Housing — Viewing a flat, asking what is included, agreeing a date.
- Town hall — Registering, asking where to queue, the document they will ask for.
- Doctor — Booking, saying where it hurts, understanding the next step.
- Neighbours — The first hello in the stairwell, and the first small ask.
Longer: what to say at a Spanish flat viewing · what to say at empadronamiento.
Questions
Is this Spanish for Spain or for Latin America?
Both. Say where you will be speaking — Madrid, Mexico City, Buenos Aires — and the generated course uses that variety. The default path is a neutral beginner Spanish you can take either direction.
Do I need to already speak some Spanish?
No. Pick beginner and the phrases stay short. If you already know greetings, a short test while your plan builds skips that unit.
Will I learn vosotros and vos?
If your goal is Spain, yes. If it is Latin America, the course follows that. The tutor will explain the difference if you ask in the exercise.
Is a generated course enough before a move?
It is the phrases for the situations you named, not a university syllabus. Use it for the month before you go; the hand-written path is there if you want the long course afterwards.
